Urology APP Fellowship
Prisma Health’s Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship in Urology is an intensive program dedicated to advanced training for nurse practitioners and physicians assistants in the field of Urology.
The goal of the fellowship is to prepare the advanced practitioners to improve access to and the delivery of superior patient care in urology practices.
Rotations
In-patient Adult Urology (7 months)
At Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, APP fellows partake in consultations, post-operative management, and assisting and observing surgical procedures. APP fellows will be expected to perform and record history and physical examinations, round on patients once to twice daily, write progress notes, enter admission orders, and assist in any needed procedures.
Office Adult Urology (4 months)
This rotation consists of outpatient management of urological issues, including pre-operative and post-operative patients. APP fellows will provide care for patients at private offices (Centennial Way and Greer locations) as well as the Edgewood Surgery Clinic on Tuesday mornings from 08:00 to 12:00.
Pediatric Urology (1 month)
During this rotation, urology APP fellows will be assisting in the operating room as well as shadowing outpatient management of pediatric urological issues.
