Continuing Medical Education – Columbia

At Prisma Health, we offer continuing medical education (CME) programs at each of our Midlands-area campuses.

Our CME opportunities are administered through the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Prisma Health–Midlands Continuing Medical Education Organization which is accredited with commendation’by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

Furthering medical education

The ACCME rigorously evaluates the overall CME programs of institutions according to standards adopted by all seven member organizations of the ACCME.

ACCME member organizations include:

• The American Board of Medical Specialties.
• The American Hospital Association.
• The Association for Hospital Medical Education.
• The Association of American Medical Colleges.
• The Council of Medical Specialty Societies.
• The Federation of State Medical Boards of the U.S., Inc.
