Activity overview

The goal of this activity is to equip healthcare providers serving in South Carolina’s medically underserved and rural communities with tools to engage their patients in educational conversations about the COVID-19 vaccine using information that is grounded in both scientific and cultural rigor and a patient-centered approach based in Motivational Interviewing.

These modules are intended to increase the comfort level of healthcare providers to have conversations with their patients about vaccine hesitancy with the COVID-19 vaccine.

Each module is independent and has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Specific credit designation statements are listed the individual module page. Participants can choose to complete all or individual activities for CME credit.

Target audience

Healthcare providers in rural and medically underserved communities in South Carolina.

Instructions

View each CME module below and follow the instructions. The minimum performance level to successfully qualify for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ is provided. After completing the module and evaluation, your participation will be recorded in our CME database. Overall educational objective

At the end of this module participants will be able to identify key communication strategies based in Motivational Interviewing (MI). Participants will also see the MI- based strategies modeled in a simulated patient interview about the COVID-19 vaccine.
