PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency at Prisma Health Richland – University of South Carolina - Residents

Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Emma Paytes, Pharm D received her Doctor of Pharmacy from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and completed her PGY1 in Acute Care at Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina. 

She chose to pursue her residency at Prisma Health because of the robust cardiovascular service line, variety of rotations, and collaborative culture with an emphasis on teaching. Emma’s professional interests include critical care, advanced heart failure and cardio-oncology. 

In her free time, Emma enjoys hiking and running with her dog, listening to podcasts or reading, and spending time with family.
