- Adult Stewardship and Support Team (2 months)
- Outpatient adult stewardship (1 month)
- Pediatric Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship (1 month)
- Infectious Diseases Consult Service (2 months total)
- Microbiology
- Immunology Center – ID Clinic

One-month learning experiences (elective)

Longitudinal learning experiences (required)
- Residency Leadership Academy
- Weekend central staffing rotation
- In-house clinical on-call program
- University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy Clinical Teaching Certificate Program (at discretion of RPD if teaching certificate completed during PGY1)
- Major research project: SERC presentation & Discover USC poster presentation

Additional requirements
- Must obtain SC Pharmacist License within 120 days start of residency
- Present Grand rounds (or ACPE-accredited pharmacist CE)
- Provide two lunch and learn presentations to the pharmacy department
- Attend residency research series (if not completed as an internal PGY1)
- Present at USC School of Medicine internal medicine resident noon conference
- Attend monthly Adult Stewardship and Support Team meetings
- Attend weekly Adult Stewardship and Support Team and Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative of SC (ASC-SC/ECHO) meetings based on experience for the month
- Prepare a manuscript worthy of submission to a peer-reviewed journal
- Co-precept pharmacy students and/or PGY1 residents
- Provide USC College of Pharmacy didactic lectures
- Poster presentation at Discover USC
- Provide USC School of Medicine M3 Clerkship ID lectures
- Participate in SC Society of Health-System Pharmacists
