Ashton Mason, PharmD, is originally from Duncan, South Carolina. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy after completing her bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of South Carolina. She completed her PGY-1 residency training at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina after graduation.

She was interested in completing PGY-2 training in internal medicine at Prisma Health after witnessing the dedication preceptors and faculty had to learners throughout pharmacy school and the wide variety of rotation opportunities available.

Mason’s professional interests include hepatology and psychiatry. Her personal interests include baking, trying new restaurants, and indoor cycling.

  • Project: Utilization of diuretic bolus prior to initiating a continuous infusion in acute decompensated heart failure patients
  • MUE: IVIG current practice/utilization
