At Prisma Health, our Division of Research enables us to provide more treatment options for our patients, as well as staying at the forefront of new pharmaceutical and medical device development. We are affiliated with several state and national research institutions as well as the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
Our research division has several members that can assist our resident investigators with their research – we can provide assistance with:
- Literature review.
- Proposal development.
- Data analysis*.
- Manuscript preparation.
*We have a full-time statistician that not only guides our residents through their data analysis, but can advise their research projects from start to finish.
The faculty at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy also guides our residents with their research goals and directions. The college can provide a statistician as well as a vast array of resources throughout your research endeavors.

Our residents also participate in Discover UofSC, which typically occurs later in the year. Discover USC showcases research, scholarship, leadership and creative projects by undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral scholars and medical scholars.
