Pharmacy Residency Programs at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital
High quality pharmacy training
We are proud to offer several competitive residency programs in the Upstate of South Carolina. We believe that our robust and unique clinical services, challenging yet supportive preceptor styles, combined with a top-ranked place to live has led to our high match rates across programs.
Additionally, our PGY1 residents interested in PGY2 programs have successfully matched for ambulatory care, critical care, information technology, oncology, psychiatry, pediatrics and more. See below to learn what our past residents are doing!
Our pharmacy services
Through strong partnerships across our health care team, our pharmacy footprint extends into settings including adult medicine, anticoagulation, cardiology, critical care, diabetes, emergency medicine, geriatrics, hematology/oncology, infectious diseases, medication safety, pediatrics, post-acute care, primary care, psychiatry, specialty pharmacy, transitions of care, transplant and vascular services.
In addition, we are proud to have strong leadership, with adminstrative positions extending into the executive level of our health system. The burn out of healthcare professionals is a dire problem that impacts staff and sometimes patients. Our pharmacy residencies support resident wellness by teaching softskills such as time management and ways to balance stressors, which are just as important as the clinical skills you will learn. Resident-initiated and preceptor-initiated wellness activities take place throughout the year.
Additionally, Prisma Health has been recognized by the American Heart Association for its committment to well-being. The health system has a wealth of well-being resouces from physical, to emotional, to financial health and more!
Diversity and inclusion
Prisma Health pharmacy residency programs support ASHP's vision of increased diversity, equity, and inclusion within pharmacy residency training. We seek to offer an open and inclusive learning environment, celebrating the diversity of our team members as well as the patients we serve. Prisma Health has dedicated strategic initiatives, staff, educational programs, and policies devoted to diversity and inclusion. For more information, please visit our website.
