Step 2: Student Clearance Timelines

Class of 2028

You will receive an email at the beginning of July with your login information for mCE. Before you get started, we want to help you prepare for the onboarding process.

Please note: all onboarding requirements absolutely must be completed by the deadlines below. Feel free to submit items from both stages of clearance as soon as they are available (you don’t have to wait until the Stage 2 deadline to submit those items).

Required Information

Clearance, Stage 1

Must be completed by July 8, 2024

  • Driver’s License State and Number
Clearance, Stage 2

Must be completed and approved by Prisma Health Student Affairs Administration by July 22, 2024

  • TB Screening
  • MMR
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Tdap
  • Influenza
  • COVID Vaccine
  • Learning Hub Modules
  • Background Report
Why Stage 1 and Stage 2?

All of the information submitted in Stage 1 is vital for us to begin your onboarding. The data gathered will provide us data points to request your computer accesses and launch your Learning Hub modules. Stage 2 includes all of the final requirements necessary to begin at USC School of Medicine Columbia. Absolutely every item is required, and the earlier you submit the better.

Returning Student Deadlines

Class of 2026: Friday, July 15, 2024
Classes of 2024 & 2025: Friday, June 14, 2024

Items to update each year may include:
  • Local Address
  • Mobile Phone Number
  • Bilingual Medical Interpreter status
  • Influenza Vaccination
  • Tdap Vaccination
  • Learning Hub (Annual Compliance Training – ACT modules)
  • Emergency Contact Information

Be sure to click the "Submit for Approval" button after you have updated your compliance checklist in order for your changes to be saved and viewable by Prisma Health.
