Colon and Rectal Surgery Greenville - How to Apply
Selection Process:
The Colon and Rectal General Surgery fellowship program is a one-year program and we presently are accepting one fellow per year. We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) with applications accepted through the Electronic Residency Applications System (ERAS). All applications of suitable candidates are reviewed. The most appropriate of these candidates are invited for an interview. Interviews are conducted by the Program Director, and three other faculty members. A composite score based on the interview and the application packet is obtained. A rank list is formed based on these mathematical scores and adjusted following discussion of the interview committee. This list is submitted to the NRMP and the match carried out accordingly.
- Interviews are held in August and September each year.
- Foreign medical school applicants must be ECFMG certified. Observerships do not fulfill this requirement.
- The program does not sponsor Visas.
- The Department of Surgery does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, age, religion, color, national origin, disability, veteran status or sexual orientation.
