Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Columbia - How to Apply

Application information

Our program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for a one year program in Geriatric Psychiatry and is listed with the American Medical Association Fellowship and Residency Electronic Interactive Database (FREIDA).

Two positions are available, at the PGY-5 level or above, for training in preparation of the Initial Certification in the Subspecialty of Geriatric Psychiatry administered by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Completion of four years in a general psychiatry residency training program is required for matriculation.

Application must include:
  • Prisma Health application.
  • Completion of ACGME psychiatry program.
  • A brief statement detailing your interest in geriatric psychiatry.
  • Three letters of recommendation, including one from the director of your general or child psychiatry program director.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Copies of USMLE or COMLEX scores.
  • Eligible for permanent SC medical licenses.
