The Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Prisma Health–Midlands is affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and with teaching sites at:

  • South Carolina Department of Mental Health.
  • Senior Primary Care Practice.
  • Veterans Administration.

Our fellowship offers a comprehensive and varied range of clinical training and systems-based learning opportunities. We accept physicians who have completed an accredited four-year residency in psychiatry and are interested in pursuing specialty training in the mental health treatment of older adults. Fellows receive training and supervision from board-certified and fellowship-trained geriatric psychiatrists in a variety of clinical settings, including acute in-patient care, long-term institutional care, community-based care and research.

Our faculty include board-certified geriatric and general psychiatrists and board-certified neurologists.
