Geriatrics Fellowship Columbia - How to Apply
Application information
Acceptance into the Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia Geriatrics Fellowship Program requires:
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program or family medicine residency program.
- Graduation from a medical school approved by the Council on Graduate Medical Education of the AMA.
Foreign graduates must:
- Have a standard ECFMG certificate.
- Be eligible for permanent immigrant status and licensure in South Carolina.
- Have a completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program or family medicine residency program
In addition to a completed application form, the following documents are required:
- A personal statement detailing your interest in geriatrics.
- Three letters of recommendations including one from the director of your residency program.
- Scores from USMLE, curriculum vitae.
- Visa status form (if applicable).
Selected applicants are interviewed by the residency selection committee. All applications and interviews will be completed in time to allow both parties to meet NRMP deadlines.
Interviews are scheduled from mid -August through October.
All application materials are received through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
