Geriatrics Fellowship Columbia - Program Details

Advanced geriatric medicine training

Over the course of the year, the geriatric fellows at Prisma Health will participate fully in the clinical care of older patients in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, consultative and nursing home care .

Fellows rotate through the affiliated institutions, focusing on attaining the clinical skills necessary to provide comprehensive assessment and management, knowledge and treatment of geriatric syndromes, as well as preventive geriatrics.

The fellowship program in geriatrics at Prisma Health is affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Division of Geriatrics. Teaching centers are located at:

  • University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

This opportunity offers a broad range of training and practice for physicians who have completed a residency in internal medicine or family medicine who wish to specialize in the care and treatment of older patients.
