Maternal-Fetal Medicine Greenville - Admissions
Our fellowship is accredited by the American Board of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and meets the requirements established by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We recruit one fellow each year.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in or have attended an ACGME-accredited residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
Application to our program is initiated through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) and we participate in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP). The selection process is based on personal interviews with department faculty and a holistic review of the candidate’s application. We consider letters of recommendation, research interests, honors and achievements.
We are enthusiastically supportive of the signaling process and will consider it in the first round of application review prior to the offer of interviews, but not after that point.
The steps in our application process are as follows:
- Submit an application for the fellowship through ERAS April 28, 2025.
- The first round of interviews will be offered on the single notification date designated by SMFM (for example, May 19, 2025).
- Applicants will have one week to respond to these interview invitations. We will hold interview spots open for all applicants who receive an invitation to interview.
- Additional interview invitations may be extended in a section round or on a rolling basis for interview spots that are unfilled after the first round.
