Maternal-Fetal Medicine Greenville - Admissions
Our fellowship is accredited by the American Board of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and meets the requirements established by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We recruit one fellow each year.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in or have attended an ACGME-accredited residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
Application to our program is initiated through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) and we participate in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP). The selection process is based on personal interviews with department faculty and a holistic review of the candidate’s application. We consider letters of recommendation, research interests, honors and achievements.
We also participate in the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine’s single notification date. The steps in the process are as follows:
- Submit an application for the fellowship through ERAS by May 1.
- The first round of interviews will be offered on the date designated by SMFM (for example, May 16, 2022).
- Applicants will have one week to respond to these interview invitations. We will hold interview spots open for all applicants who receive an invitation to interview.
- Additional interview invitations may be extended in a section round or on a rolling basis for interview spots that are unfilled after the first round.
