Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Greenville - Curriculum
The clinical rotations will be divided into three-month blocks. The rotations will be divided between the Minimal Access Surgery service and the Bariatric Surgery service. Rotations will be spent at the Hillcrest campus with the Bariatric Surgery service.
Fellow Responsibilities
- Ultimately responsible for the care of patients on the service
- Work with residents to cover all operative cases and provide state-of-the-art patient care.
- Spend one-half day a week in the private office setting evaluating patients with the attending.
- Staff the minimally invasive surgery clinic which meets every other week with the residents.
While on the bariatric rotation, fellows will participate in bariatric committee conferences to familiarize themselves with implementing and maintaining a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
