Residency Application Information
All interviews will be conducted virtually from October through December. We recommend submitting your application as early as possible. No evaluation activities will be conducted in-person.
We will hold optional, non-evaluative, in-person Second Look events for all interviewed applicants in December and January. Neither attendance nor interactions at event will impact rank list decisions. Second look travel scholarships may be available for individuals for whom funding travel would be a hardship.
If interviewed applicants would like to visit Greenville at a different time during interview season, we will do our best to accommodate them if given at least three weeks advance notice.

Prisma Health requires that international medical graduates must have completed their ECFMG certificate by the time they start residency. All international medical gradutes must be ECFMG eligible at the time of application.
We prefer if international medical graduate applicants have at least 1 year of US clinical experience.
Our virtual interview will include delivery of in-depth information about the program and individual interviews with program leadership, faculty, and residents.
We recognize that standardized testing has limitations and provides only a snapshot of knowledge that is not always representative of an applicant’s abilities or potential. As such, each application is reviewed as a whole and there are no firm thresholds that determine eligibility for interviews.
We usually conduct interviews from October through December.
