Serving our community

Based at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, the Family Medicine Residency Program in Sumter, South Carolina, strives to create an ideal learning environment for developing future family medicine specialists.

Our program intends for our graduates to continue to serve the Sumter area, its surrounding rural communities and other South Carolina communities. We train our residents to be skilled family physicians possessing compassion, character, and balance.
