Family Medicine Residency Sumter - Curriculum
Family Medicine Educational Experiences
Solid teaching blocks in both ambulatory and hospital settings give residents what they need to be wise, effective, capable physicians in today's practice environment. We use a 13, 4-week block rotation system.
Most rotations occur at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, a 283 acute care bed hospital that is both a community hospital and a regional referral center. Residents also spend four weeks on inpatient pediatrics at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital in Columbia.
