First-year appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program beginning July 1.

Applicants are considered for interview after receipt of:

  • Application and personal statement via the ERAS system.

  • Transcripts and USMLE or COMLEX board scores.

  • Two (2) letters of personal recommendation.

  • A medical school MSPE.

The resident selection committee screens applicants according to the following criteria:

  • Passing scores on USMLE or COMLEX steps.

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school within the last two (2) years (exception for U.S. military personnel serving as general medical officers).

  • US Citizenship or unrestricted authorization to be employed in the US.

  • (Valid ECFMG license, if international medical graduate).

  • Two (2) years U.S. clinical experience, if international medical graduate.

The deadline for applications is December 15. All application materials must be received through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We also strongly encourage all applicants to complete Step 2 of the USMLE or COMLEX and the clinical skills exam before January 1 of their fourth year.
