Favorite part of Prisma Health Residency: Camaraderie amongst residents. There is a strong bond and sense of friendship among this relatively small but mighty group of individuals.

Favorite: Being far from home, the best part is having a group of residents who became my family - the culture is welcoming and supportive from not only the residents but also the faculty.

Favorite part of Prisma Health Residency: I appreciate the support and true comradarie from all residents here. The faculty is also very supportive and interested in the residents' growth, both personally and professionally.

Favorite part of Prisma Health Residency: The family like feeling between the residents. From day one I felt like an integral member of the team. We also get great exposure to the OR and procedures early as interns!

Hobbies: My favorite hobby is hitting the gym for a workout. If I'm not at the gym, I like to spend time with friends and family. cook meals, go water skiing, go fishing, watch movies, or work on my truck!

Favorite part of the Prisma Health Residency: Undoubtedly, my favorite part of the Prisma Health Residency is the way in which we all are a big family. This residency is filled with incredible people who commit to each other with just as much effort as we put forth in our surgical training.

Favorite part of the Prisma Health Residency: So far, what I appreciate most, is the focus on building a strong educational platform to learn standards of surgical care in preparation for board exams, and to be proficient surgeons. I also enjoy the camaraderie of my class. We come from diverse backgrounds and really enjoy each other’s presence both in and out of the hospital. I look forward to building lifelong friendships here.

Favorite part of the Prisma Health Residency: While searching for residency programs, I was looking for one that placed an emphasis on early operative exposure while still having an emphasis on strong didactics and an overall positive culture amongst the residents. My residency experience so far has been excatly that. I look forward to continuing to learn from the surgeons and staff at Prisma Health

Favorite part of Prisma Health Residency: I had the opportunity to do an AI here and was really impressed by the knowledge, operative capabilities, and drive of all of the residents. I also admired the supportive culture and camaraderie between residents, faculty, and attendings.

Favorite part of Prisma Health Residency: There is no better place to train than one that puts you in the operating room early, supports you both professionally and personally, and has the patient volumes to become a fantastic surgeon.

Hobbies: Spending time with my wife and three children and our dog. I also enjoy hiking, camping, travelling, wildlife photography, fly fishing, archery, hunting, SCUBA diving, cooking, trying new foods, and gardening.

Favorite part of the Prisma Health Residency: I chose this program because I recognized a strong culture of leadership, with an emphasis on education. I chose this program because I knew it was a work-hard play-hard program where I would get early and often operative experience without having to double-scrub every big case. I chose this program because I knew my family and I could buy a home and put down roots here.
