OB/GYN Residency Greenville - How to apply
OBGYN Admissions
The Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program participates in ResidencyCAS (Centralized Application Service). Residents are selected for the postgraduate year-one level through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants are required to complete an interview. All interviews will be conducted virtually in the 2024-2025 application cycle from November 2024 through January 2025.
Once your application is submitted through ResidencyCAS, it will be reviewed by our Application Review Committee. A holistic application review process is used to identity qualified candidates. We are participating in program signaling and encourage applicants to use signals to demonstrate special interest in our program.
Admissions Standards
- To be eligible for selection, applicants must apply via ResidencyCAS by September 25, 2024 and must be enrolled in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
- Highest priority is given to graduates of LCME and AACOM-accredited medical schools.
- The selection process evaluates applicants holistically, focusing on experience, attributes, and academic metrics as demonstrated in the application--personal statement, letters of recommendation, MSPE, and performance in medical school.
- We do not have a minimum score requirement for the USMLE Step 1 or Step 2. All applications are reviewed holistically.
- The Department of OBGYN does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, marital status, family/parental status, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
After your application has been carefully reviewed, you will be notified of your application status. Initial interview invitations will be sent on October 29, 2024. Invitees will have 48 hours to accept or decline. You will be notified if you are on a waiting list.
Final notice of application status will be sent December 4, 2024.
