Salary:
PGY-1: $56,784.00
PGY-2: $57,499.60
PGY-3: $60,091.20
PGY-4: $62,337.60
Benefits package includes medical/dental/vision insurance, long-term disability insurance, retirement savings plan (with match of up to 3%), and additional voluntary benefits.
Paid time off: 3 weeks (15 workdays) vacation/PTO. Additionally, residents receive:
- Several holiday days off each year
- Two additional PTO days for any major holiday worked
- Five additional days for educational time off (to take Step/COMLEX exam, attend medical conferences, etc)
Parental Leave: OBGYN Residents receive paid parental leave (birthing and non-birthing parents) within the limits set by ABOG—up to 12 weeks in an academic year.
Parking: Free gated covered parking is provided in a garage attached to the hospital
Meal stipend: $300/month

Exam fees: Prisma Health covers up to $700 of the fee for Step 3/COMLEX-3 exam if taken within the first 18 months of residency
Education funds: Separate from the above books and fees, residents receive the following discretionary education funds:
PGY-1: $500
PGY-2: $500
PGY-3: $1000
PGY-4: $2000
Travel: Residents may have travel expenses covered to present research at national conferences (in addition to the above education funds)
PGY-3 Conference: All third-year residents attend the ACOG Resident Retreat, funded by the program (in addition to the above education funds)
Certifications: Residents receive the following certifications at no cost: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FLS
Licensure and Registration: Prisma Health covers the cost of residents’ state limited medical license and state and federal DEA registrations
Memberships: Residents receive memberships to ACOG and the South Carolina Medical Association
Boards Study Aids: Residents receive full access to the TrueLearn® Written Board Exam question bank for the final 6 months of residency as well as the last two weeks of residency off as dedicated study time.
Additional benefits:
- iPhone and phone case provided to every resident for professional responsibilities (used in place of pagers). Technical support provided by the IS Department.
