Pediatrics Residency Greenville - Curriculum
Integrated Learning Model
Our curriculum divides the ABP test content into organ system groups, allowing our residents to tackle on one content area each period. We repeat this curriculum twice over the 3 years, so residents refresh and reinforce their knowledge as they approach graduation.
During each 4-week block, our educational conferences, boards-style practice tests, and simulation center cases all focus on the same organ systems to reinforce learning.
Proven Success
Since creating this model in 2007, our board pass rate has been among the top nationally, with ~98% of our residents passing on the first attempt.
Career Preparation
The first block, winter holiday block, and last block of each year are reserved for important non-clinical topics including child advocacy, global health, ethics and research, practice management, personal finance, contract negotiation, residents as teachers, and board review.
