IRB Committee Meetings and Deadlines

All items requiring Full IRB Committee review (i.e., new study, amendment, and continuing review) must be received by 12:00 noon on the appropriate deadline for review in the following month’s meeting. Please note, submission by this deadline does not necessarily guarantee inclusion in the upcoming agenda if there are modifications required after administrative pre-review. If you have been asked to present your new study at the meeting, you will be provided instructions on the presentation. This requirement is to ensure confidentiality of information discussed by the committee.

Prisma Health IRB Committee

The Prisma Health IRB Committee reviews all studies for both the Upstate and the Midlands requiring Full Board IRB Review. The committee meets the third Tuesday of every month at 12:30 p.m. (unless rescheduled due to holidays). These meetings are held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The Prisma Health IRB Committee is co-chaired by Christopher Wright, MD and Helmut Albrecht, MD.
