Kirsten graduated from Vanderbilt University with her Master of Science in Nursing, Adult - Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree in 2015. She has worked as a Pulmonary Critical Care Nurse Practitioner since 2016, initially practicing in New Orleans, Louisiana prior to moving to Greenville, South Carolina and joining the Prisma Health team in 2019. She enjoys the fast-paced, continuous learning environment that is fostered by the critical care patient population. In her personal time, Kirsten enjoys traveling and hiking with her family.

Sean joined the Prisma Health team in 2021 after working as a Locum Tenens Provider during the COVID-19 pandemic. He graduated from The University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science, Nursing and graduated from Colorado State University – Pueblo with a Masters of Science, Nursing. He was adjunct faculty at Colorado State University – Pueblo in the graduate nursing department, is a board certified Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has practiced in Tennessee, Colorado, Kansas, and South Carolina. In his free time he enjoys triathlon, restoring classic cars, and traveling with his family.

Melissa has been an advanced practice provider since 2011 and at Prisma Health since 2019.  She received her DNP in 2016 focusing on neuroprognostication in post-cardiac resuscitation.  Melissa has worked in critical care and emergency medicine since 2006, and has practiced in Illinois, South Carolina, and at Cleveland Clinic at Abu Dhabi.  She continues to enjoy the ever-chaging specialty of critical care with special interest in cardiac arrest, targeted temperature management, sepsis, and point-of-care ultrasound.  When not working she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and cooking.

Melissa Palmer, AGACNP-BC, MSN, RN

Melissa has 15 years of critical care experience, obtained her bachelor degree in Microbiology from Clemson University, a bachelor degree in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, and a masters of science in Nursing as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the Medical University of South Carolina. Melissa started with the Pulmonary/Critical care team in 2019 and has been involved in recruiting and training our amazing team of Advanced Practice Clinicians.She loves the Clemson Tigers and is married to wonderful Julio.  Her favorite place to visit is Paris.
